Digital and video cameras for microscopy

Making measurements with your microscope is most easily performed with software which provides tools for the analysis of images captured with digital cameras.

GX Microscopes provides over 30 different models of cameras suitable for microscope use.  They include eyepiece cameras as shown in the datasheet, c-mount video cameras from JVC, c-mount digital firewire cameras and specialist cooled cameras for low light fluorescence imaging.
the camera resolutions are offered to over 5 megapixels with live previews and supplied with fully functional digital microscopy software.

Every Moticam camera & most Motic digital microscopes are supplied complete with fully featured, professional digital imaging software.  This software lets you truly explore the power of your microscope by enabling you to correctly analyze and quantify your image.

You can also purchase this software separately but you can only use the live and capture facilities with a supported Moticam camera.

This software can be upgraded to Motic Images Plus Version 3.2 when used with a Moticam 2000 camera or above to provide a huge range of functionality in the field of automatic image analysis.

The generous features include the following:  
 
Capture
Capture real time still, moving or time-lapse images with the simple click of your mouse.
 
Measure & Export
Once you have calibrated the system using our supplied calibration slide, you can make accurate measurements of your sample. All your measurements can be exported to other worksheets such as Excel by clicking only one button. 
 
Share through Internet
The built in Distance Image Sharing (DIS) module allows you to connect to another digital microscope through the internet. Based on teleconferencing principles, you can broadcast your microscope's live streaming video over the internet while viewing the other party's stream. 
 
Combine & Group
Motic's Amalgamation feature allows you to combine different images into one single picture. Several heuristics are available giving the user complete control. This feature is especially useful when combining images taken at different focal depths

Enhance
Process the image with a variety of filters, or adjust brightness contrast and colour. You can also add narration, sounds or music to each image.
 
Record sound directly
Using this tool, each image can be enhanced with sound on a particular spot on the image. This is great for creating learning slides or completing group projects. 
 
Multi Language Support
Don't speak English? How about German or Arabic? This software allows the user to select between different languages. Available in 2004 are: English, German, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, Korean, Arabic, Chinese.
 
Count & Export
This feature automatically counts the objects selected in a particular area of view. All details of the dimensions can be exported to an Excel spreadsheet through the simple click of the mouse.
 
Create Reports
Create detailed reports on your findings in the same application program. Simply drag and drop images from your microscope into your document. This is an easy way to create examination papers, findings and reports.

Motic Images Advanced 3.2 image analysis software contains processing tools to satisfy most professional users.

Supporting Motic's 2.0, 3.3 and 5.0 Megapixel chip devices, this software is a one-stop platform for image quantification. Do accurate and reliable measurements, automatic or manual segmentation with different customizable features and then export all data gathered to Excel with a single click of the mouse. Create multi-media slides by adding your audio comments directly onto a specific location in the slide using our proprietary .sfc file formats. View images in a virtual 3D format based on image pixel intensity to give an entirely different perspective of your sample. Different filtering and image manipulation and optimization devices are also provided.

Combined in this amazing package are two of Motic's newest and most popular add-on modules: Motic Images Assembly and Motic Images Multi Focus giving the user even more power at an unbelievable price.

This software is standard on the Moticam 3000 and 5000 series and can be used as an optional extra on the Moticam 2000.

Motic Images Assembly
•Create amazing images taken at high magnification with a high field of view
•Use one of three Assembly algorithms provided to get the result you are looking for
•Assemble up to 400 (20x20) individual images into one single large image
•Let the software recognize overlap and image shift automatically
The Assembly Module is a separate software module integrated into the Motic Images Advanced 3.2 system. With its own capture window interface, the Assembly Module can be used on its own to capture up to 400 images (20x20) in a single focal plane. By choosing one of the three algorithms the software will recognize any overlap and shift automatically and create a single image as a combination.

Motic Images Multi Focus
•Assemble a single focused image out of images taken at different focal planes.
•Can be used with images taken from compound as well as stereo microscopes
•Automatically recognizes parcentric shifts caused by non-CMO stereo images
•Automatically smoothes out most image imperfections such as glare

The Multi-Focus Module is the second separate software module integrated in to the Motic Images Advanced 3.2 system. With its own capture window interface, this Module can also be used on its own to capture up to 100 images taken at different focal planes. The software will automatically recognize the parts that are in focus in each image and assemble them into a new file. The result is a single image that is completely in focus.
